Official Diagnosis

I woke up with my eyes nearly swolled shut, and hives head to toe.  I immediately called for an appointment, and even got in today.  The doctor officially diagnosed my with a form of vasculitis, caused by Lupus.  I had at least eight vials of blood done, and a urine test.  My urine was brown, which I am pretty sure, is a bad sign.  I was put on Prednisone for now, to control the vasculitis.
When the the lab test come back next week, I will see  the doctor again.  If need be, he wants to put me on a medication called Paquin(?), long term, to help with my kidneys.  The problem with the Paquin is, it is probably not safe to be pregnant, and taking it.  I am suppose to be off it for 60-90 days, before I even try to get pregnant.
What am I going to do?  I need my kidneys, but I want a baby.  I may have to give up, ever getting pregnant.  I so what to experience the wonders of pregnancy, and nurse my little darling.
What made this day even worse, while digging for the doctor's card, I ran upon my appointment card for my last OB visit, when I was informed my pregnancy was no longer viable.  She was due on January 12th.  I want to go climb in a cave and hibernate until Spring.

New Year, Booooooo Year

So far this year hasn't started so great.  This afternoon, I noticed spots on my chest.  Then I looked at my arms, belly and legs...only to find more bumps.  My lupus is flaring, again.  The last flare ended days before Thanksgiving.  I used to have months between flares.  Now I get a month off?  You're too kind Lupe' Fairy. There goes another month of trying to get pregnant::-(

Round Two

Last month was a bust.  It is 'O' time again, and we are off and baby making.  I haven't dropped my coffee habit.  I haven't started to take my vitamins.  It is time for me to focus.  I will start taking my supplements tonight;-)

Ooooopps

I had half a latte, this morning. It just sounded sooooo good! I stopped drinking it once I got my fix. I was going to start walking today, but it is all ugly out. I just picked up a book with an eight week yoga program. Yoga helps fertility, so I am going to get back into it. It is such great exercise for the body, mind, and spirit. I want to add the program into my fertility regimen within the next week.

Off the Starbucks

I haven't had a latte since Tuesday the 17th. My breasts are tender, and my skin is ichy in the evening. My skin was horribly itchy, last time I was preggars. I will do a pregnancy test on Sunday.

It was "O" Time

I awoke Sunday with a bloated belly, and a 'full' feeling in my lower abdomen. I tested positive, with the ovulation detector kit, later on that morning. I decided to pretty myself up with a super shave job, and a whole body sugar scrubbing. The shave was beautiful, but never try to scrub a rampant Lupus rash. There was burning and stinging. Not a bright manuver on my part.
We used "sperm friendly" lubricant, during my ovulation window, to make love every night. I took EPO thru Wednesday, for a better quality cervical mucus. Last night, I was having weird cramping sensations in my lower abdomen. Egg implantation? We'll know in a few more days...

Plan of Attack

I now must personalize my fertility restoration plan. I need to order some vitamins, minerals and other supplements. I have already started taking EPO (Evening Primrose Oil) for healthier cervical fluid. I need to cut out my morning latte', and evening glass of red wine. I have discovered some great Minute Maid anti-oxidant juice, I will be substituting for wine. I also need to schedule in at least one yoga session a day.
Part of my plan includes a daily foot massage from my hubby. It is good for improving blood flow to all of one's organs, especially the reproductive ones.
